Our FaceCam iPhone HMC face mocap helmet is extremely robust and easily adapts to fit a wide range of head sizes. Ours is the only iPhone helmet that provide complete stability during acrobatics and filps (use of the mini phones is highly recommended for such dynamic purposes.) Our helmet is extremely lightweight, and the stable, single arm leaves the performer's view completely unobstructed. (Also makes it easy for performer to drink, or scratch their nose). We achieve optimal stability without making your performer use a chin strap. Our product line includes three specialized, and highly unique optional accessories: Our adjustable counterweight helps balance heavier phones (for use with dialog and non-stunt movement). Our packs of spare memory foam offer greater hygeinic usage when your FaceCam will be worn by more than one performer on the same day. Our tracker mount makes it easy to attach a tracking marker, (optical, IMU, or Vive) above the performer's head, for integration with other full body tracking technologies.

Academy Award® winner Standard Deviation has more than 20 years of experience designing custom facial motion capture rigs and motion capture cameras for some of your favorite movies and games, including: Avatar, Planet of the Apes, Lord of the Rings, and many others. Standard Deviation designed the FaceCam iPhone HMC as a best-in-class, off-the-shelf product: an iPhone HMC for professional users. Sales began in November, 2020, and word of mouth quickly spread: a trickle of initial FaceCam orders turned into a torrent. A new company, Radical Variance, was spun off to help keep up with growing demand for the FaceCam. A new website, Face.camera, was created to automate sales and fulfilment of orders for the FaceCam.
