iPhone 15 - hot, or HOT?

We're still waiting for details on iPhone 15's Truedepth sensor. An anecdotal report indicates it doesn't have improved depth sensitivity, compared to iPhones 13 and 14. Those phones purportedly have less Truedepth depth sensing, for use with facial motion capture, compared to iPhone 12.
Gizmodo reports that Apple Claims Overheating iPhone 15 Caused by iOS and App Bugs. The good news is there will be an upcoming fix for 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max models.
Apple found some glitches in iOS 17 and some apps that are causing the overheating. Apple indicates the issue has nothing to do with iPhone 15's new hardware.
